Dear Investors,

Please remain vigilant and avoid clicking on any suspicious links from non-official sources. To download BITYI-related products, please visit www.bityix.com.

1. What is Phishing?

Phishing attacks involve criminals impersonating others to obtain personal sensitive information (such as usernames, passwords, funds, and ID documents). These communications often claim to be from official sources, operations, customer service, or network administrators to deceive victims into providing sensitive data.

2. How Phishing is Spread

  • Through Viruses: Criminals replicate a website identical to BITYI and use computer viruses, spam software, etc., to send fake website links to investors' devices. They may also manipulate search engines to trick users into logging in, stealing their account credentials, transaction information, or funds.

  • Through SMS Messages: Criminals send fraudulent messages pretending to be from BITYI, claiming users have won prizes or that their accounts have been compromised. These messages direct users to a phishing website for "identity verification," which is actually a fake site set up by scammers. Once users log in and provide credentials, their account and password are stolen.

  • By Creating Fake Websites: Scammers establish fake websites and promote false event information on social media, offering enticing rewards. Once users log in, their credentials are stolen.

  • Through Fake Official Emails: Fraudsters send mass phishing emails, leading users to log into counterfeit websites. These emails typically claim prize winnings, system upgrades, or urgent security updates and include a malicious link. Once users input their login credentials, scammers steal the data.

  • By Sharing Phishing Links in Communities: Scammers spread phishing website links in online communities to trick users into logging in.

3. How to Prevent Phishing

  • Use Chrome for safer browsing and keep it updated to the latest version. Older versions may have security vulnerabilities, such as "Punycode Phishing Attacks" (link).

  • Avoid installing unnecessary browser extensions. Extensions can have high permissions and pose account theft risks, such as the "User-Agent Switcher Backdoor Incident" on Chrome.

  • Do not open unknown links or enter BITYI account credentials on unverified websites to prevent phishing and malware attacks.

  • Install antivirus software and regularly scan your computer and mobile device for viruses.

  • Keep your operating system updated with the latest security patches.

  • Never share verification codes sent by BITYI with anyone.

  • When logging in or making transactions, confirm that the website domain belongs to BITYI. If unsure, contact customer support. The only official website of BITYI is www.bityix.com.
